Frequently Asked Questions
I have had an accident, what do I do now?
Contact your insurance company to report the accident.
Once they have issued you a claim number, just stop by to see us and we can process your claim on your insurances behalf.

I have both private insurance and ICBC insurance. Who do I report my accident to?
If you have private insurance as well as ICBC coverage, you must contact your private insurance company to report your claim.

Do I have to take my car into ICBC for them to see the damage to the vehicle?
No, more often than not ICBC will allow us to do your estimate right at our facility without having to take your vehicle into them.
There are only two types of claims they will not allow us to handle on site:

Hit and Run Claims
A "Hit and Run" claim means that the person left the scene of the accident without leaving you their insurance information.
In this case ICBC will want to setup an appointment to view your vehicle’s damage.

Injury Claims
Any accident involving personal injury means ICBC would likely want to view your vehicle.

Do I get a courtesy car while my car is being repaired?
Yes, if you have "Loss of Use" coverage through your insurance company, we can set you up with a rental car for you right at our facility.
National Car Rental
If you do not have "Loss of Use" coverage through your insurance company, we will then provide you with one of our courtesy cars to use at no charge. Keep in mind that we do need advance warning to book one of our courtesy cars for you.

The person that hit my car wants to just pay for the damage without involving the insurance companies.
This is fine as long as that person understands that the estimate we provide is just ‘an Esimtate’ and prices are subject to change once the repairs are completed. For example hidden damage, parts pricing, etc.
You should also know that if you do report it to your insurance company, the very last step that the insurance company does is to offer the guilty party an opportunity to pay for the damages without processing a claim against their insurance.

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
No appointments necessary and all estimates are FREE of charge.
